2013: New Year, New Blog!

Yes, you've read it on the title. I am now officially moving my blog to Tumblr but I will not delete this so that I can go back to my old entries. The reason why I am making my move is that I have ran out of Picasa space and I have to upload things on Tumblr before I could post my photos in here. So at the start of the new year, I've decided why upload photos on Tumblr when I can have my blog on Tumblr itself?

If you want to check it out, here's the link to the new blog: kcabfy.tumblr.com

Oh and I've also posted all my recent entries here on my blog to Tumblr. The program online used to make a transfer from Blogger to Tumblr isn't working for me, I decided to do it manually so when you check out my blog, don't be confused if you see some posts from a couple of years ago because up until now I may not be done transferring those posts.

Chao, Blogger! It was nice blogging with you :)

Hole-In-One!

A video of my Dad throwing my sister a grape from the kitchen and my sister tried to catch that tiny grape with her mouth. Here is the link to the video:

(I actually forgot to rotate the video so you have to crane your neck watching this)

Nativity

Last Saturday, my family together with Tita Norie's family went to Salt Lake City to see the Nativity. It's this huge statue of Jesus Christ and it really is worth the trip. Thing is, we didn't use cars. We rode the train which was a little hassle. Imagine all those people in the train and it's hard finding a seat but once you find one, you get to share it with a stranger which can be a little awkward for me. I won't make this long enough so here's a family picture taken in Salt Lake.

Winter Concert

Last December 17, we had another choir concert. Even though it was our second time doing it, it was still nerve wrecking for me. I don't know why but there's just something about performing in front of a huge audience and you know you're parents are there somewhere watching you. Anyway, we sang Christmas songs and they were all so great. We sang:
  • The Christmas Waltz
  • Mary, Did You Know?
  • All Alone Beneath the Mistletoe

Macro Photography

My Dad bought this camera where you can actually do a macro shots. He taught me some basics and here are some of the outcome of what I've done. I hope it's good enough for a beginner like me.

Photo Set

These are some photos I took from the last couple of weeks. I don't want to post them individually because it just wouldn't make sense. Some photos are not blog worthy so I decided to just get them all together in one photo set.

1 - The skirt I was doing as a project for my Clothing class if finally done and ready to wear.
2 - Another photo of the skirt.
3 - Mouse Angel
4 - It was snowing when we got home from church last Sunday and my family decided to snap some photos.
5 - Siblings!

Supernatural Experiences

As a living person, I know all of us had gone through that stage in our life where we experience haunting, seeing ghostly apparitions, or some other supernatural activities. Most of us can see things others can't see. Some are even fascinated by the idea that there are others living among us that they try to learn more about them and be an expert when it comes to that area or topic. And in my case, I wasn't alone when I experienced all these things. I was with my siblings and with my cousins; and all of these happened in Los Angeles, California, in a small house in La Puente.

These experiences won't be in order but, here they are in a list:

  • Summer 2008, my parents and my uncle and my aunt were having an adult talk in the kitchen while my cousins, siblings and I were at the living room spending time together. Suddenly, my Dad came running out the front door. He went towards the little door that led to the backyard. My cousins and I were confused as to what is happening when my Dad came back inside the house. While we were in Vegas, I found out that my Dad saw an apparition of a man walking by the kitchen's window and when he came out to check it out, no one was there. Hence, the nickname my cousins and I gave to that apparition: "Ulo" which is "head" in English.
  • My cousins Jed and Keith both had a dream about a guy digging up a hole in their backyard.
  • My cousin Jed's wife, Ate Joy had a dream one night about a guy who hanged himself in the backyard tree.
  • One night when my cousins and I were gathered up in Kuya Jed's room, we were talking about our experiences. Kuya Keith told us that one time, he woke up at midnight because he was feeling thirsty so he went to get a drink in the kitchen. When he was done in the kitchen and before he turned off the lights, he saw a little girl standing in the corner of the room, staring at him.
  • Kuya Jed was taking a bath at 5:30 in the morning and the faucet would randomly turn off.
  • My family and I went out one afternoon together with my uncle, aunt and my cousins and Ate Joy was left in the house because she still has some school stuff to do. She told me that she locked herself in her room because she kept on hearing footsteps and some things being moved around in the living room.
  • When my Mom and Dad came back from their short visit in Utah to check out our house, my Mom told me that once she saw a white figure walking back and forth outside the kitchen door leading to the backyard.
  • One afternoon, Kuya Lou, Ate Joy, Bianca and I were watching Paranormal Activity in the living room when the movie suddenly pauses out of nowhere. We were watching the movie in my cousin's Xbox and the controller wasn't nowhere near where we all sat. My Mom witnessed it all too and she told me that before it happened, when she was walking towards the room where we currently sleep in, she suddenly felt goosebumps and when she came back, the incident happened.
  • My Aunt Miriam had a party in her backyard for her 50th birthday and my cousins and I were busy assisting guests so basically, we were walking around the house from time to time. I had to go to the bedroom to fix myself up because I was slowly turning to look a little haggard. I came out of the room after a couple of minutes and I made sure I leave the door closed because no guests would want to see the inside of the room. I went back to the backyard and my Mom suddenly called me back inside to tell me that I left the door open. I told her I shut it closed. She scolded me for keeping the door open even though I didn't. Moments later, I had to use the bathroom and I saw that the door was once again open. And no one came in after my Mom scolded me.
  • Same day as Aunt Miriam's 50th birthday party, Ate Joy went into her room to get something and she noticed that the TV was open so she shut it down. When she came back with us after she told Bianca and I about it, the TV was open once again and Bianca and I were there to witness it.
  • When Kuya Jed's cousins from San Francisco came to Los Angeles for a visit, we were alone. Our parents were in Utah that time and my cousins' parents were away for the night and they won't be coming back 'till the next day. My cousins and I were playing Slap Jacks and the game was so good it took us 'till one in the morning. We only stopped when Ate Joy silenced us and we heard footsteps coming towards the kitchen when nobody was there and everyone else except us were already asleep.
The best part is when my cousin Jed had a psychic reading one time in the mall and believe or not, it was surprisingly accurate. The psychic said that there was a spirit that always comes with us wherever we go. One spirit was someone who recently died that was close to our family and our grandfather died just recently that time and he serves as our guardian angel, keeping the bad spirits from messing with us. Ate Joy and Ate Thyn was having a misunderstanding for almost a month and we learned that there was a spirit trying to make each and everyone of us have a misunderstanding with each other, it was trying to make us fight with each other. That same spirit also wanted to ruin the marriage of my cousin Jed and Ate Joy. Aunt Miriam and Uncle Bobby doesn't want to believe in all these crap but once they got to experience it, they have grown to believe it as well.

Another thing we learned about is about those dreams Kuya Jed, Kuya Keith and Ate Joy had and that little girl Kuya Keith saw. When Kuya Keith, Bianca, Ate Joy and I were hanging out at the kitchen we learned that an accident happened in front of the house and it almost killed the guy, but he survived giving him somehow a second life. That same guy was the one Kuya Jed and Kuya Keith saw in their dreams. The little girl, we figured, was killed by that guy and the hole he was digging was for the little girl and once he buried the girl, we figured that maybe the guy got guilty so he killed himself by hanging himself on the tree.

I got to say, these experiences would always be kept in my mind forever for I have never experienced this kind of incidents before. I hope that I won't get to experience something like these again because I've always been afraid of ghosts and it would scar me forever if I ever saw one in person.

The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn

Late post. We've watched this movie I think it was during Thanksgiving. There were only ten people in the theater when we watched because I know most people already watched like the day it premiered. I have to say it was a terrific movie. Alice fooled me in the end though. I really thought Carlisle was the first one to die which was quite unusual since he's a major character. But then it turned out it was only Alice's vision.

I was kind of sad that the saga is now over. I mean, I'm a hooked watcher from the start, from the Twilight movie and I got almost teary eyed when they were starting to show each character in the movie and the past ones.

As a ticket collector, I kept the ticket and I took a photo of it so that it'll be an addition to my Ticket Collection segment in this blog.

Awkwardness Overload

My friend and I just experienced an extreme awkward moment during Tutorial a while ago. In my school, every Monday, Wednesday and Friday, we have this period called Tutorial where you can go to any of your 8 classes to catch up on things, but since my friend and I don't have much catching up to do, we went to the choir room instead. It's the most loved place during Tutorial because you can just chill for a whole 30 minutes before going back to an hour and a half class.

Okay so during Tutorial, there was only like five to ten minutes left and Josh and Mason were playing with this tiny ball by the door near where Kelli and I sat. Mason was trying to make the ball bounce from the floor to the door and to the floor and back to him. He did it and Josh caught it even before Mason could.

Josh did the same thing with the ball but instead of bouncing on the door, the ball bounced towards us and Kelli tried to catch it and she caught it...and Josh did too.

Kelli was just there with the ball in her hand with Josh's hand clamped over hers and the ball. Basically, they were both holding the ball causing for them to hold hands. And they were staring at each other for a while.

Mason and I were just standing there, looking at Josh and Kelli. It was probably the best moment we had with Josh and Mason but Kelli thinks that it was kind of awkward which I think would be awkward for me as well if I was in her situation.
